01Approach
A missing crew member is a stopped operation
A tug does not work simply because its engine is sound; it needs a crew with valid certificates who know that particular boat. One missing document stops the operation.
Our job is not to send a list of names. The certificate of competency for the rank, the medical certificate, STCW documentation and experience on the vessel type are verified in advance; people arrive on site with their papers complete.
A short shift gap, a voyage-based requirement and a seasonal reinforcement are three different planning problems. We establish which one it is at the outset and build the cover accordingly.
02Ranks
Positions we supply
Master
Tug and workboat masters, with escort, towing and manoeuvring experience required.
Deck officer
Watchkeeping, navigation and the running of deck operations.
Engineer
Chief and watchkeeping engineers, responsible for main and auxiliary machinery.
Able seaman
Lines, mooring and deck work, including preparation of towing gear.
Oiler / motorman
Engine room watch support and maintenance duties.
Cook
Catering on longer voyages and continuous watch rotations.
03Process
Four steps from request to site

Defining the requirement
Rank, vessel type, duration, area of operation and watch pattern are established, along with the experience sought.

Candidate assessment
Certificate of competency, medical fitness, STCW certification and past service records are checked.

Documentation check
Expiry dates, flag state endorsements and any port access permissions are verified.
- 04
Mobilisation and follow-up
Personnel are mobilised, and shift changes, certificate renewals and cover are tracked.
Certificate tracking stays with us
We track the validity of our people’s certificates and plan renewal or replacement before expiry. The surprise happens in the calendar, not at sea.
