UMAS MARITIME

Company

Maritime work is measured by how well your word holds

We are a maritime company running escort, towage, trials, crew supply and emergency response under one operating discipline. At the core of the work is having the right tug in the right place at the hour we promised.

01Who we are

A Türkiye-based operations team working internationally

We are a maritime company based on the Marmara and straits corridor, working along the Turkish coastline and across the Black Sea and Mediterranean basins. The team is built around three functions: the operations desk, field coordination and crew management.

Tug work is about closing the distance between a promise and the field. If an escort has been committed for a transit, the tug must be there at that hour, in that position, with that pull. There is no partial version.

So our way of working is simple: be realistic from the start, keep everything on the record, and raise a problem before it grows.

02How we work

Four principles, applied to every file

01

Realistic commitment

We do not give a date or a level we cannot hold. An optimistic promise made to win the job costs both sides later.

02

Everything on the record

Agreements are captured in recaps and correspondence. A verbal understanding protects nobody when a dispute arises.

03

Early warning

When a delay, damage or deviation becomes likely, we do not wait. Bad news gets more expensive the later it arrives.

04

A named owner

Every file has a named owner, so information is not lost when the point of contact changes.

03Capabilities

The discipline behind each service line

Escort and towage
Transit planning, bollard pull calculation, towline rigging, tow survey and voyage monitoring.
Trials and testing
Bollard pull test set-up, measurement, sea trial organisation and class attendance.
Crewing
Certificate verification, STCW compliance, watch planning and cover.
Emergency coordination
Mobilisation, port authority and agency liaison, 24/7 duty cover.

Transparency about our role

We state in writing, at the outset, where we run the operation directly and where we provide coordination. We do not imply a fleet we do not own or a capacity we have not assumed, and we do not provide salvage services.

Next step

Tell us about the operation and we will work out the right tug and plan with you.
